Travel Impressions Of The Cote d'Azur
From Nice, West To Cannes, East To Ventimiglia

Lady on TrainA frequent train service stops at most towns along the coast of the French Riviera, and extends eastwards to the Italian town of Ventimiglia. Buses provide additional links to the hinterland. Most places are accessible by public transport.

These are some pictures of my journey along the Cote d'Azur, 25th May to 2nd June 2006. They have been chosen to capture the light, colour and atmosphere of each locality. Enjoy.

Comments
The beautiful light and colour of the Cote d'Azur has inspired many artists. I photo-edited many of the photos in this weblog entry to enhance light and colour balance without altering the composition and line of the pictures (using Picasa - a Google freeware), so as to achieve a paint-on-canvas effect. Glad you liked them.

These are the 30 countries that I have ever set foot on. Airport stopovers don't count!
