Food For Thought
 It was a 3-hour ride from Hanoi to Halong City on the cramped tour minibus, the start of our Halong Bay overnight sojourn. Saw something interesting on-route: a market-bound truck. It was packed to the brim with vegetables ... and then some. Writhing avian and porcine occupants, tied up and tied down, confined together in undignified close proximity, squealed helplessly with dismay looming over their discomfited countenances. Their common fates firmly sealed. |
